The company was honored to have been among a few exhibitors to receive awards for several new, purposeful appliance innovations that improve life at home.

With a total of five awards taken home from KBIS 2024, all are a true reflection of Whirlpool Corporation’s commitment to innovation and purposeful design. These accolades include:

Best of KBIS Gold Award

The Best of KBIS Awards are a true measure of excellence for the kitchen & bath industry, recognizing only the most trailblazing and innovative products. Whirlpool Corporation received the Best of KBIS Gold Award in the Game-Changing Innovation category for the JennAir® 30” Column Refrigerator with SlimTech insulation technology. This category represents products that are either new to their category or tout new industry benefits, and the new-to-market SlimTech insulation fits the bill as a breakthrough in refrigeration technology.

SlimTech insulation is the first vacuum-insulated structure (VIS) technology in a refrigerator in the North American market and represents a significant step forward in refrigeration technology, which has long relied on bulky polyurethane foam for insulation. With a proprietary material that is vacuum-sealed within the door or sides of the refrigerator, SlimTech insulation can reduce the wall thickness by up to 66% — allowing for up to 25% more capacity inside the refrigerator. SlimTech insulation will launch in 2024 on select JennAir® 30-inch column refrigerators and will later expand to KitchenAid®.

Best of KBIS: Reviewed.com

Editors from Reviewed.com, part of the USA Today Network and a trusted site for product reviews, selected 15 winning products from KBIS for their Reviewed Awards, which honor products that stand out from the pack. Two of the awarded products on this list were Whirlpool Corporation innovations.

SlimTech™ Insulation technology took home its third award of the show for not only providing more space to store food inside the refrigerator but also allowing the refrigerator to operate up to 50% more efficiently.

The KitchenAid® Counter Depth 4 Door Refrigerator also earned a Reviewed Award for its flexible temperature ranges, adjustable shelving and a through-the-door water and ice dispenser. The platinum and wood color combination and flexible compartment with a wine rack also help set this appliance apart.

Best of KBIS: The Kitchn

The Kitchn, a member of the Apartment Therapy Media family of sites, is a food site focused exclusively on home cooking and kitchen design. Two new appliance innovations caught the attention of the Kitchn editors for their cutting-edge technology and ability to improve life at home for consumers.
